(a) The President shall not be a Member Ex Officio or attend meetings of the Election Committee or Counting Committee. He or she shall be a Member of the Grievance Committee, He or she shall preside at other meetings of the Local and be a Member Ex Officio of all other committees.

(b) Countersign all checks issued by the Financial Secretary against the account of the Local.

(c) Enforce the provisions of the Constitution.

(d) Be at all times responsible to the Executive Board.

(e) He or she shall have no vote at the meetings at which he or she presides except in case of a tie.

(f) Perform such other duties, subject to the approval of the Executive Board as may be necessary to a proper and effective administration of the affairs of the Local.

(g) Conduct all correspondence of the Local Union not handled by the Recording Secretary.

(h) He or she shall appoint the necessary committees for the proper functioning of the Local.
