ARTICLE XVII - EXECUTIVE BOARD

(a) The Executive Board shall be composed of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Recording Secretary, Sergeant-at-Arms, Shop Chairperson, Skill Trades Chairman, nine (9) Executive Board Members elected at large and three (3) Trustees.

(b) All decisions of the Executive Board shall be by a majority vote of members present, unless otherwise provided herein.

(c) A 2/3 majority of the members of the Executive Board shall constitute a quorum.

(d) The Executive Board shall perform all duties necessary to the proper administration of the affairs of the Local Union consistent with the Local, District Council and International Constitution.

(e) The Executive Board shall act in cases of emergency which may arise between meetings of the Local.

(f) The Executive Board shall determine the financial arrangements necessary to insure that the business of the Union function in an orderly manner.

(g) The Executive Board shall meet at least once each month and at such other times as the Executive Board or the President may determine.

(h) The Executive Board shall advise or control the courses of action of any or all Local officials and committees except as otherwise herein provided.

(i) The Executive Board shall establish such committees as may be needed to promote the welfare of the Union.

(j) The Executive Board shall use every possible means to organize the unorganized within the jurisdiction of the Local.

(k) The Executive Board may, at any time, require from any official or committee a full and detailed statement of account of any actions or business done in the name of the Local.

(l) All actions of the Local Executive Board shall be subject to the approval of the membership at the next regular membership meeting.

(m) The Executive Board shall be empowered to appoint employees as may be needed for the efficient and proper administration of the Local Union. They shall be appointed at the first meeting of the newly-elected Executive Board each year immediately following the Local Union election of officers.

(n) The Executive Board with the approval of the Local Union membership shall fix the salary of any member, officer or employee of the Local Union. Such wages shall not exceed the wages paid in the industry.

(o) All Lost Time shall be subject to the approval of the Executive Board.
